Arab CSOs Advocacy Week to European Institutions 2016

The Arab NGO Network for Development, in cooperation with Solidar, CNCD 11.11.11 organized a delegation of human rights and development civil society organizations from six Arab countries (Egypt, Lebanon, Morocco, Syria, Tunisia and Palestine) to visit the European institutions in Brussels, between 5th and 8th of December 2016.


The visit seeks to deepen dialogue and exchange with European policy makers at the Parliament and Commission around policy reforms pertinent to the future of the relations between the European Union and the Arab countries. The visit aims as well at strengthening dialogue and widening opportunities of cooperation with European civil society organizations.


In this regard, on December 8th an half-day Civil Society Forum will be organized at Solidar offices (Rue de Pascale 4-6, 1040 Brussels) tackling key issues including the role of civil society, rights-based approach in the EU development model, the role of private sector, EU trade and investment policies, migration and refugee crisis, security and stability in the region. Panelists from the Arab region and Europe will shed light on the opportunities and challenges of the partnership.
