ANND contributing to Christian Aid report “The World We Want to See: Perspectives on Post-2015”
The Millennium Development Goals (MDGs) have been, forsome years, not only a benchmark for thinking about whatis essential for a more just and secure world; they have alsobeen a reminder to us all that it is possible for the world’sgovernments to recognise a shared moral imperativeand to identify the need for common action. As we looktowards 2015, the date by which it was originally hopedthat the MDGs would be met, we are bound to have mixedfeelings. Yet, however challenging it is that we have fallenshort across a number of goals, it is crucial to hold on to theimportance of the fact that they exist in the first place.
