Brief : Shereen Talaat is a feminist and Advocate with around 15 years of experience in building coalitions and campaigns around social and economic and environmental rights. She is the Director and founder of MENA Fem Movement dedicated to economic, developmental, and ecological justice. She works towards right based economic policies, with a particular focus on debt justice, feminist economics and Climate Justice. In 2020 She was part of the founding group of the End Austerity Global Campaign. In 2022 she was recognized as one of the most influencing voices on Climate Finance among other 10 activists from around the global movement. She continues to make meaningful contributions to the global dialogue, striving for transformative change and justice on a broader scale. With 20 years of activism, Shereen worked on linking local and global pro-rights movements which is vital for her efforts in promoting justice within the global financial architecture  including International Financial Institutions' policies. That’s why she was nominated or Elected for different advisory groups such as the WTO (World trade organization) president advisory group and the EBRD (European bank for reconstruction and development) civil society advisory board ,Green global fund Mena Advisory board, elected for 2 rounds to represent MENA at the World Bank/IMF civil policy form, nominated by the African/MENA movement as a member of the Roots Rising steering committee and served for 3 years as the chair of the global Human Rights coalition in development. In addition to her activism, Shereen is a distinguished Filmmaker, one of her documentaries (Wahdon) changed the child protection law in Egypt 2008 having completed her studies at the Academy of Cinema Art and Technology. She also holds an associate’s degree in human rights and refugees from the American University in Cairo, a Master degree in environmental media education along with other certificates that underscore her diverse expertise
