Brief : Professor Karim Ben Kahla holds a master degree in "Industrial Strategies" and a PhD in organizational theory from the University of Paris I Panthéon-Sorbonne (1996). He is a university professor at the Ecole Supérieure de Commerce (Tunis, Tunisia), an associate professor at the Business Science Institute (Geneva) and president of the think-tank "Cercle kheireddine" as well as of the association "Nouvelle Chance" for youth employment. Former Dean of the Higher Institute of Accounting and Business Administration of Tunis (2009-2014) and of the doctoral school of economics, management, accounting and finance of ISCAE and ESCT (Manouba University). His research work focuses on governance, public policy evaluation, foresight, human capital, development, institutional and organizational change, strategy and epistemology of social sciences.Professor Ben Kahla has participated in a dozen governance evaluation missions in African countries (leading the economic and managerial component in Niger, Egypt, Algeria, Benin, Cote d'Ivoire, Senegal, Uganda, Burkina, Sudan, Mali, etc.) and has been an expert to the African Union, the World Bank, the OECD, the African Development Bank, the ILO, FAO, UNDP, the European Union, etc. His expertise has focused on public policy evaluation, development, governance, institutional reforms, the fight against corruption, human capital, educational policies, decentralization, food security, African foresight, etc. He has notably contributed to the elaboration of the national objective of sustainable development in governance of Tunisia (UNDP-MDCI); the prospective study on the social contract in Tunisia in 2025 (Tunisian Institute of Strategic Studies), the strategic review of food and nutritional security of Tunisia (FAO, 2018); the national employment strategy in Tunisia (ILO, 2019); the national regional development strategy (GIZ-MDCI, 2019); the governance of decentralization in Tunisia (GIZ, 2020); the evaluation of development planning in Tunisia (MDCI, 2020); the development of guidelines for corporate governance and CSR in Africa (African Union, 2019), etc. . Professor Ben Kahla was a member of the college of the national authority in charge of regulating the telecommunications and internet sector in Tunisia (INT) and, as an independent director, he chairs the investment committee of STB-Invest and is a member of the board of directors of SIMPAR (the first real estate investment and promotion company listed on the Tunis Stock Exchange). Karim Ben Kahla is also the author of about fifty communications and scientific articles, has directed about fifteen doctoral theses and has chaired or been a member of several commissions for the recruitment of teacher-researchers and for reflection on the economy, human capital, education and higher education in Tunisia.
