Given the rise in inequalities and the eroding social contract, access to social protection schemes and particularly access to a universal right to health are weakening in the MENA region. On Tuesday, October 17, 2023, ANND is organized a Webinar: The Right to Health in the MENA Region: Status, Challenges, and Solutions. This session aims to shed led on the right to health through thematic discussions related to the impacts of neo-liberal policies and the role of social protection systems in the context of rising inequalities while taking into account the changing International Financial Architecture. It will draw on the findings of the 2023 Arab Watch Report on Economic and Social Rights: Right to Health, and on country experiences from Tunisia and Egypt.
