ANND’s participation in the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and World Bank Group (WBG) Annual Spring Meetings – 10 – 16 April 2023, Washington D.C.
ANND is participating in the IMF and WBG Spring Meetings that will be held in Washington D.C. from the 10th until the 16th of April 2023.
In the framework of the Civil Society Political Forum (CSPF), ANND is co-sponsoring and participating in a panel session on the 12th of April 2023.
The panel session is entitled “The role of SDRs in MENA in times of austerity and debt”; it aims at understanding the technicalities of SDRs and discussing the role that can play in just development in the MENA region. The session will also address issues related to the potential of debt-free rechanneling of SDR and how can that contribute to structural reform of the economy in MENA.
Speakers will also echo the main governance and transparency issues of SDRs within the region, and highlight the impact of the Debt crisis and austerity policies in MENA.
