Arab Watch Reports 2025: ANND Continues the Regional Launch Series in Amman
Following the regional launch of the Arab Watch Reports 2025 on the Right to Water and Climate Change in Casablanca, Morocco, the Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND) continues the regional launch series with a second event to be held in Amman, Jordan, on 5–6 July 2026.
This regional launch is organized in collaboration with our partners in Jordan: Phenix Center for Economic and Informatics Studies, Jordanian Women's Union, Dibeen Association for Environmental Development, Rasheed for Integrity and Transparency (Transparency International Jordan), and the Justice Center for Legal Aid (JCLA).
The event will bring together researchers, experts, civil society organizations, and policymakers from across the Arab region to discuss the findings of the Arab Watch Reports 2025 and advance regional dialogue on water governance, climate justice, and the right to water.
Over two days, participants will explore the regional report alongside national reports and case studies from Jordan, Lebanon, Iraq, Palestine, Syria, Egypt, Tunisia, Qatar, and Yemen, as well as thematic perspectives addressing governance, political economy, gender, climate adaptation, and the weaponization of water. Discussions will also focus on translating the reports' recommendations into advocacy priorities and coordinated regional action led by civil society.
The Arab Watch Reports are an independent regional knowledge initiative led by ANND, bringing together researchers, experts, and civil society organizations from across the Arab region to produce evidence-based analyses that promote economic and social rights through a human rights and social justice lens.
