ANND, in partnership with Third World Network, Social Watch, Global Policy Forum, and the Asfari Institute of the American University in Beirut (AUB), successfully organized the 2024 Global South Study Week from May 20-24 at the Asfari Institute. This event brought together participants from around the world to discuss a wide array of critical topics, including the challenges of the multilateral system, climate justice, austerity measures, social protection, gender equality, food security, tax justice, digital justice, and the right to health, among others.
The week was marked by inspiring talks from leaders in the fields of governance and sustainability, contributing to the collective knowledge about key development issues. Participants shared their diverse experiences, enriching the discussions with perspectives from all corners of the globe.
One of the highlights of the Study Week was the in-depth discussion on the Summit for the Future and the priorities of the countries of the South associated with it.
