ANND, Third World Network, and ‎‎Al-Haq Organization‎ have submitted a shadow report to the UN Committee on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights (#CESCR78), challenging the Netherlands’ complicity in Israel’s illegal occupation of Palestine and ongoing atrocities in Gaza.

The report highlights how Dutch military procurement, financial flows and corporate activity sustain violations of international humanitarian and human rights law. Under international law, including the International Court of Justice’s 2024 Advisory Opinion, states have extraterritorial obligations: they must not aid or assist Israel in maintaining its unlawful occupation and must take all measures to bring it to an end.

This call is reinforced by today’s report of the UN Independent International Commission of Inquiry, which documents Israel’s genocidal campaign in Gaza and reiterates the responsibility of third states to act.
