2025 Global South Study Week in Beirut, Lebanon


This year’s program organized by the Arab NGO Network for Development, Third World Network, Social Watch, Global Policy Forum, and the Asfari Institute at the American University of Beirut brought 17 participants from Argentina, Bolivia, Egypt, Jordan, Kenya, Lebanon, Libya, Palestine, Sudan, Tunisia, and Yemen to discuss on alternatives in governance and sustainable human development. During the 5 days program, several key topics including care society, climate justice, role of private sector, digital justice, financing for development were unpacked. Participants shared country experiences, identified common challenges and policy alternatives.
