ANND at the 2026 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings

ANND at the 2026 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings

13–16 October 2026 | Bangkok, Thailand

From 13–16 October 2026, the Arab NGO Network for Development (ANND) will contribute to a series of jointly organized sessions alongside civil society organizations, networks and international partners during the 2026 IMF–World Bank Annual Meetings in Bangkok, Thailand.

Across these discussions, we will engage with questions that are central to the development choices facing countries in the Arab region and across the Global South: What kind of jobs are development policies creating, and with what rights? Who bears the cost of fiscal adjustment and austerity? How can social protection systems be adequately financed? And what should rights-based reconstruction look like in fragile and conflict-affected contexts?

ANND’s participation is part of our broader work to bring civil society perspectives and Global South priorities into debates on international financial policies, while advancing alternatives grounded in social and economic rights, accountability and equitable development.

Date: 13–16 October 2026
Location: Queen Sirikit Convention Centre, Bangkok, Thailand
Format: In-person and online
