These uprisings have led to the resignation of Prime Minister Hariri and the dissolution of the government. Consequently, a new cabinet will be chosen. This position paper examines the European Union’s response to the uprisings and proposes policy recommendations for reform that should be promoted in the framework of the EU- Southern Neighborhood partnership and EU- Lebanon partnership.
